The General Offering is our working ministry funds which include the daily expenses for the building upkeep and care, (utilities, repair, cleaning, etc) and the salaries for the staff and contractors employed by the church. These funds are part and parcel of our on-going ministry in the community and the connectional church. 

Memorials are a specific way that people can remember and honor friends or loved ones through the ministry of CUMC. These funds can be designated for specific use through the church’s established funds or goals or can be given as undesignated funds and used by the church for upcoming or necessary ministries such as books, music, even salaries. These funds are noted as given by you in honor or memory of the specified person. The family is notified of the memorial gift. 

The Trustee Maintenance Account is used to support the care and upkeep of the church and as a source of funds to provide special funds for specified needs such as repair of major appliances, purchase of new large equipment or updating or painting rooms. 

The “Together We Can” Funds support the five year vision of the church for renovation of The Conference Center (formerly the Education Building) and install an elevator to access and make usable all floors of that same building. The final campaign will begin in 2027 to complete raising funds for the installation of the elevator. 

Designated Funds include offerings for particular mission outreach projects and programs such as The Giving Wall, the Holston Conference Hands-on Projects, and other missional outreach endeavors. It can also be used for other projects within the community and the Holston Conference.
